UIF's unique and comprehensive training program allows students access to an unparalleled learning opportunity. Real world experience in social entrepreneurship is difficult to create in a classroom setting. UIF solves this problem by creating a means for students to learn valuable skills and interact with industry leaders on daily basis.
UIF's student associates are comprised of both graduate and undergraduate students from the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, and Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Student Associates come from diverse backgrounds and many have experience in developing markets, allowing UIF the ability to work on projects in all sectors and regions.
UIF offers business analysis and due diligence on a pro bono basis in an effort to further develop and expand our network. UIF seeks to maintain lasting partnerships in the impact investing space by providing meaningful due diligence bandwidth and co-investment capital on future deals and initiatives.
Student Associates work directly with the business during their analysis and work through an established organization and communication process as shown below:
UIF's Student Associates collaborate with leading social venture funds, banks, foundations, consulting firms and social entrepreneurs to identify, fund, and grow businesses that have a social impact. Working in the form of value-add projects, UIF students can help address strategies facing businesses in all regions and sectors. UIF's expertise allows for organizations to work with us to identify new markets, go-to-market strategies, and increase competitive advantages.
